eduroamCAT under Android (4.3+)

Remove the eduroam network from the network settings of your mobile device before installation. To do this, select "Forget network/remove network" under eduroam.

Please note that you must be within the signal range of the University of Kassel's eduroams network to set up the app and require another active internet connection (e.g. LTE, other WLAN, hotspot).

Open the Play Store on your smartphone. Then install the free eduroam CAT app from the GÉANT Association:

Start the app. The app will now try to detect your location and suggest reasonable configurations of possible facilities in the vicinity. Click on "Allow/Zulassen" here.

Switch on the manual search below. Then enter Kassel in the search field and click on "Search".

Select "University of Kassel".

Grant the app access to the media for eduroamCAT.

Click Install.

Confirm the following prompt with "Yes" so that your profile can be installed.

Enter your user name "UniAccount@uni-kassel.de" and the corresponding password in the input fields. Then click on "Install/Installieren".

Your Uni Kassel profile has been successfully installed.

Finally, check the connection in the settings. After installation, eduroam should have connected automatically.
