Scanning

Scan format

As with copying, the "Automatische Reprofaktor/Automatic Repro Factor" can also be helpful here. For reliable format detection, the lid should be closed. However, since no immediate control of the result is possible, it is safer to define the format with "Scaneinstellungen - Scanformat/Scan Settings - Scan Format". It is also possible to manually enter the size of the scan area in millimeters, but you will need a ruler or  similar for this.

Scan to USB stick / SD cards

According to the manual, USB memory sticks and SD cards are supported.

Only FAT16 is officially supported as the file system on the removable storage device, which limits the size to 2GB or 4GB. However, some larger USB sticks also work with the FAT32 file system. Saving may fail if the USB stick is protected with a password or in some other way, or e.g. has been made bootable. The responsible company Ricoh does not take any responsibility for the loss of data on USB sticks or SD cards.

When I scan, I don't get an email with download link!

Please check if your e-mail address is entered correctly:

  • If you change the email address in your library user account, please reset your password once in the same place immediately afterwards - unfortunately, this is necessary for technical reasons at this time.
  • If you scan for wallet, you can check your email address in your library user account itself.
  • If you are scanning on business - i.e. cost center - please contact the Finance Department/Materials Management.

To be on the safe side, we advise using the same email address in both cases.

The first scanned page has the wrong format!

In some cases, the automatic detection of the page format fails. To get the desired format anyway, you can set the page format manually in the Scan Settings menu.
